How long does the first scan take?

About four minutes for a typical website. You enter one address; the scanner finds your sitemap itself, reads the pages that carry substance, and comes back with your services, cases, regions and expertise as records you correct.

A very large site takes longer, and the progress you see is read from the job itself rather than an animated bar that finishes when a designer decided it should.

What it reads

  • Your public pages — nothing behind a login, ever.
  • Documents you upload, which are extracted into records and then deleted.
  • Nothing else. It does not buy data about you or infer facts from your industry.
